A growing percentage of Australian young people are growing up in broken families, and often lack a healthy, consistent role model to provide leadership, guidance and encouragement.   In addition to this, the number of surrogate ‘models’ in this world continues to grow, with Internet, Hollywood, music and television often playing the major roles in raising our young people.

For a young person to grow in Jesus Christ and to experience his acceptance and love, they need to understand how that can be real in someone’s life, not just a hypothetical ideal talked about in a big book.  So every high school student who attends TCBC can choose to have a “Cultivator” – an older Christian who will support, encourage, listen to and pray for the student.  This is entirely optional, and for those young people who desire to learn how to live out their faith in the real world.
